For my magazine I have looked at a variety of fonts which I can then choose a few to use on my magazine;
Stencil; is a very bold style, the font consists of only capital letters with rounded edges and thick main stroke, making it look even more "strong" and would work very well for a masculine or army-themed look.
Century Gothic; is a thin, modern looking font this is due to the basic and very clearly written font style. The "G's", "E's" and "C's"are rounded making it seem as if it is turning into a circle. This is a very smooth style.
Staccato555 BT; is a very different styled font, this is due to it not looking typed although it is on an electrical device, but it looks like it has been created by a paint brush. This gives a very artistic look, and is likely to work well with an abstract theme.
Castellar; is a vintage-looking font, this is because of the thin letters but having an outer line on each letter. Yet still looking simple and clear, the use of capital letters also gives a clean look and this would work very well for a simple, nature looking theme.
Berlin Sans FB Demi; is a very thick font, it is simple yet eye catching as it is thick. The rounded edges on both lower case and upper case letters gives a soft look. This would work well for titles or subheadings due to its thickness and simpleness.
Bradley Hand ITC; is very thin, and is also different from other fonts, this is because of the style of it looking like a hand written font, and not from a device. This gives a scrapbook look making it work very well for story or longer text.
Invite Engraved SF; is a bold font, with a thinner line on a specific side of each letter, indicating where the shadow of the letter would be. This gives a quirky yet modern look due to the two different width of lines and could work nicely for a title.
Kunstler Script; is a very thin style, the use of slight curls and flicks on capital letters, gives a delicate and "angelic" touch to the font. This could wok very well with classical theme or with feminine style due to the swirls.

For my magazine I have looked at a range of different colours that I may use for either my front cover, contents page or double page spread;
Black; is a very bold colour and works very well for sophisticated and "serious" sections of the magazine for example the title, sub-heading or any other important information. Due to the darkness of the colour makes it stand out on any background, image or colours.
Red; is a strong and powerful colour, it excites emotion as it could either show anger or love, this colour is a primary bold colour making it seem very dramatic. The different emotions under this colour makes an impact on the audience as too much can be irritating and too little can seem cautious.
Orange; is a vibrant colour making it symbolise energy and excitement. It comes in many shades creating it either bright or subtle, which creates different moods either being soothing or spicy. It is a "trendy" colour as it was very popular in the 70s.
Yellow; is the most luminous colour and grabs the most attention, as this colour tends to refer to happy things such as; daffodils, sunflowers, sun, and smiley faces. It is the colour of optimist, happiness and enlightenment.
Green; is a colour that associates with nature, as most part of nature is green, making a refreshing colour. There are many views such as the colour being of luck, growth and holy, but can be altered due to the wide range of shades it has.
Blue; is a colour most people like as it is very calming and beautiful in nature as it represents water and the sky. The different shades such as darker blues represent trust and dignity while the lighter blues represent peace and spirituality.
Purple; is a luxury colour, it symbolises magic, mystery and royalty making it very effective for a magazine. The colour is eye catching as it is a colour where people either love or hate, the light purples are light-hearted and floral whereas the dark purples are more intellectual.
Pink; is a "girly" and cute colour but depending on the shade, as the lighter ones make it delicate and soft whereas the brighter ones are more eye catching and bright. This can create a very feminine look with other items such as flowers, makeup or candy.
